I hate shaving everyday.

I received the health results from my medical test last week - I'm going to live. It's not like I was worried or anything, but you always wonder, especially if you're being tested for anything.

Tomorrow is pay day, which I'm looking forward to. I actually won't receive a check or deposit, because I've yet to receive my Alien Registration Card. That means I'm going to get a shit load of 10,000 won bills. I really need my ARC. Having no phone kind of sucks sometimes, especially if you meet anyone, in my case a girl and you want to exchange digits. All I can say is, "maybe we can meet here next week" or "here's my e-mail." That just doesn't sound cool, to anyone. It's not a big deal, but I do want a phone, even it has one of those dangly things like everyone else. I don't get why every cell phone here has some kind of teddy bear that hangs from it...

Things I plan to buy with my first check: bicycle, some new plants, a chair perhaps, some shelves for the wall, and a table - one that doesn't require me to sit on the ground. My apartment still looks pretty ghetto. I'm using the box from the rolly chair I bought in Home Plus as a pseudo-table. It works well. I simply took a piece of luggage and placed it on its side and rested the box on top, voila, a table. It's sturdy. There's not a lot of room, but my rice cooker and a few other things fit on it.

A bicycle is a must. The weather is starting to warm up, and there's still a lot of Ansan I've yet to discover. I pretty much only know the square mile surrounding my apartment building. There's a university about two rail stops down I want to check out. I'd like to find out about enrolling in some courses there. It'd be nice to take some French classes.

But yeah, the bike. A lot of people around here ride these small bikes, kind of like midget/kid bikes, but they're really cool. There's one in Home Plus (which I visit way too often) that's really nice. It's navy blue and has street wheels. Every time I see it I say, "that's so cool!" I look like a child riding around the store on a kid-sized bike with semi-flattened wheels. It's 270,000 won though - merde! I have a tendency to impulse buy, so I'll probably end up aquiring something completely random. When I say impulse buy, I'm not alluding to poor shopping habits. Rather, if I happen to be shopping for something in particular, even if I've researched the product for a few months, when I actually go to purchase the item, I end up buying something else. For example: I researched digital cameras for 3 months or so, and one day randomly bought a Panasonic Lumix in Wolf Camera. Granted, I'd been looking at a few Lumix cameras online, but still, it wasn't the particular one I'd been thinking about. Ok, maybe it's not that random, but for some reason I think it is. It's insignificant actually, and I'm still talking about it for some reason.

Ah, yes, here's some pictures from this past weekend.
